Want to learn English Paper Piecing? We will be making a wall hanging inspired by Sue Spargo with English Paper Pieced flowers and bias stems set into an antique shaped bowl. This class will teach you how to sew the basic EPP shapes, such as Grandmother’s Flower Garden, along with other hexie combinations to make some beautiful, traditional flowers. Pattie will supply paper templates for the EPP shapes. We will then use an invisible applique stitch and make a wall hanging or table topper. In session one, we will English Paper Piece the borders and flowers in a fast and precise method. Also, you will learn how to do flower stems with a bias stem maker. Very Easy! In Session two, we will cover how to invisibly applique the flowers and stems and how to do needle turn applique for the bowl. This is a great project for both the beginning and intermediate quilter.
