This airstream is my imaginary retreat. In it I can work undisturbed and sew to my heart’s content. The camper is made from tin foil, candy and gum wrappers, silver fabric, ribbon and metal. Anything that can be sewed down can be used to construct it. We will be using a combination of selvages and collaged fabric for the grass and sky. The doors and windows can be done in a variety of techniques. I will show you how to use screening and fabric for your moveable door. The quilt top will have tulle, cording, texture magic and flags made from your scrap pile. I will show you haw to use yarns and embroidery thread to give your grass texture. In the last class you will learn a variety of machine stitches and methods of finishing your quilt. This will be a fun class. Start saving those candy wrappers.
