The Cotton Patch is proud to support a program that benefits young children with serious illnesses requiring extended hospital stays. It was started by Caroline Archer, who came up with a wonderful idea – to provide the children’s hospitals in our area with a gift that can be given to young girls – a beautiful doll and a gift set including hand knitted sweaters, a sleeping bag, hairbrush and several different outfits.
We need your help making clothes and knitting sweaters. We have patterns for all of the clothing items, as well as knitting instructions for the sweaters. All of the items are easy to construct and it is great fun to embellish each outfit.
Come and see what we have been doing and join us for all or part of the day. If you have fabric you think would be fun for doll clothes bring it along. The dolls are 13” so it doesn’t take much fabric to make each piece. Bring your sewing machine and supplies or knitting needles.
